MISSION STATEMENT

Lighting Up the Darkness is a volunteer-driven eye clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality vision care to individuals with limited or no access to medical services. Our mission is to restore sight, promote eye health, and empower our community through accessible care, education, and service.

CORE GOALS

Lighting Up the Darkness aims to:

provide free comprehensive eye exams for uninsured or underinsured individuals;
Detect and manage preventable eye diseases early
Provide assistance to procure glasses or vision resources for those in need
Educate the community about eye health and preventative care
Foster a culture of volunteerism and service among healthcare professionals
